For God so Loved the World

I’m contemplating “For God so Loved the World”.  Tomorrow’s second reading prompted these thoughts.  I’m the lector tomorrow so I was practicing.  How God must love us and how patient he is.  He waits for each of us.  I keep him waiting.  Jesus did not keep him waiting.  Jesus did the Father’s will.  Who knows all of what Jesus was aware of but he did.  I don’t.  It’s really that simple.  What is the Father’s will.  That is simple too.  I need to love the Lord with my whole heart, soul and mind.  I need to love my neighbor as myself.

Once again, the Our Father is the appropriate prayer for the evening:  thy kingdom come, thy will be done. Amen

About sisterbernice

I am a practicing Catholic in love with the Lord. Whatever his failings, I recognize the same in our Pope Emeritus, Benedict XVI. He serves as one of my great teachers. A truly misunderstood figure, I hope all who have reviled him might actually read him and find their way to God.
