It is heart wrenching to read about the latest terror attack in Nice. They are all heart wrenching. But, it is particularly heart wrenching to read about children being mowed down. My heart goes out to the parents as well as the children who lost a parent or parents. This must be a crime that calls out to heaven, calls out to all of us.
Mary Mother of God Pray for us.
“Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of they womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary, Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.”.
I know I am crying, begging for help. I am just plain crying too. It is a valley of tears. I do feel banished too – why is this happening? Where is the Lord? We know these are cries throughout all of history during these types of events. We know the Lord is near, He is with us. He has not abandoned us. Although unworthy, we need Him to hear us. Please pray to Mary, our most powerful intercessor; to the Lord; to the Father that the world will be spared and that we are made more worthy of the promises of Christ. May the Lord Have Mercy and show us the way. May we have eyes and ears to see and hear the way. Oh Mary Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, pray for us.
I learned after posting that today is the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Our Lady of Mount Carmel, please pray for us.
